Couple goals: Doctor-pilot shares various trips with spouse are ‘Travel memories that last Forever!’

Trabaho. Ipon. Travel. Enjoy.

This seems to be the mantra of a married couple who has been travelling together since 2008.

In a Facebook post, the husband, Erwin Conrad Abueva, looked back at their journey as a couple and shared his sentiments spurred by his realizations on their 15 years as partners for life.

He shared, “Travelling 2geder as husband and wife since 2008.  15 years and we’re still into travelling. And I believe we will continue seeing Landmarks all over the world until the day we walk with canes. On to the next 35 years of seeing the world 2geder!!!”

This grateful doctor-turned-pilot husband also shared that working hard for the family is a given thing which they  embraced. They’re always thankful for their respective jobs and financial sources.

With regards to their travel budget, Capt. Doc said, “No need to spend big. DIY is our “game” with just enough “ipon” in every trip we make. Basta importante, the planned travel will push thru.”

As to their travel planning, Abueva said that they travel together “once or twice a year as a couple only, and do other trips na included naman ang kiddos or other family members.”

Their most recent trip was in Turkey.  “Never miss the Hotair Balloon ride experience when you visit Cappadocia, Turkey,” he shared via an FB reel.

His message here is ‘Do not wait until you are too old to travel’. “While malakas pa sa paglalakad, seek new adventures 2geder. Relieve stress 2geder. HHWW 2geder “;  emphasizing on the keyword ‘2GEDER.’

Obviously, they’re incorporating the word ‘kilig’ in their life as a married couple. “As I’m always saying, “Masarap magtravel kasama ang iyong BF/GF. But it is better and more memorable to travel kasama ang iyong Husband/Wife.”  (couple emoji)  Why?  Because “Travel memories last FOREVER!”

He then concludes his post with a romantic turn. “I LOVE YOU, MRS. Meriam Santiago Abueva!”  ♥️  Kung tayo ay matanda na sana’y di tayo magbago…. #15thyear  #anniversarymonth  #KasamaKangTumanda  #chasinglandmarks2geder

Back story: Doctor-turned-pilot lauds the wind beneath his wings: ‘A supportive wife enables her man to achieve his goals’

Last year, Abueva also flexed  his beloved wife’s significant impact in his life and their family.

Apparently, when he decided to go into Aviation (a completely different world from Medicine), his wife supported him despite knowing that such a move would be extremely financially challenging. At the time, he was already practicing his medical profession but only under a contractual basis in hospitals.

Doc Erwin Conrad said they were just starting to build their home back then with bank mortgage and other loans to pay on strict schedules.

He pursued his aviation dream with the huge help and great understanding of his spouse. And presto!  What happened next he described as history. This determined doctor earned his ‘pilot wings’ a few years later and immediately got hired after his  Airbus 320 training. He’s so grateful for getting that dream job even before he turned 40!

Captain Doctor Erwin Conrad Abueva has nothing but love and gratitude for his better half; something that we wish all couples would find in their marriage.

And on this love month 2023, we know that Capt-Doc will once again flex the wind beneath his wings, his dear Meriam.
