A 22-year-old college student expressed his gratitude to his supportive professors and classmates who patronize the fresh vegetable produce he is selling in school in order to help his parents with their daily expenses.
“Thank you so much dear professors and classmates sa pagbili ng mga paninda kong gulay,” Jacinto Alam said in a Facebook post.
In an interview with Philippine Star, he shared that he has been helping his parents sell vegetables since he was in Grade 3. To lighten his mother’s load, Jacinto would get some of her items and sell them in their barangay or in his school.
Meanwhile, netizens were touched by Jacinto’s initiative to help his parents and expressed confidence that he will become successful in the future.
Pagpatuloy mo ‘yan. Keep up the good work. Salute you po,” one netizen said.
Another said that she is hoping that Jacinto will serve as an inspiration to his fellow students.
