As per Jose Feliciano’s song, indeed, “Love comes from the most unexpected places. In someone’s eyes you’ve never met, who wants to get to know you. Someone’s smile you can’t forget…”

It may have started as an ordinary day for a Gensan Park traditional photographer named Celde Salvacion, but something special started to brew thereon as he went about his usual business of asking people to have their photos taken.

A netizen, Rafaella Sta. Ana, was so surprised over Lolo Celde’s finished copies of photos he took of them.

She narrated in a Facebook post on August 11, “Dinala ko mga bata kanina sa park para magpahangin and lakad lakad. Tas nilapitan kami ni Lolo CELDE SALVACION, he’s a traditional photographer. Tinanong niya ako if gusto ba raw namin magpapicture.”

“3 for P100 Photos”

Apparently, Lolo Celde offered his photography services for only P100 which covers three big beautiful copies. Rafaella said the photos he took are all beautiful and he was so patient with the kids, she shared. It was such a bargain!

“Seeing him, Super tanda na ni lolo. Kaya G!!!

She then urged people there to patronize Lolo Celde’s photography services, as well as his fellow photographers there who also try their best to still earn a living despite challenging times and amid technology when almost everybody have cellphones.

Lolo Celde’s ‘3-for-100’ goes viral

In another post, an overwhelmed Rafaella shared an update on Lolo Celde whose story touched the hearts of many netizens. Many wanted to give some gifts to Lolo Celde and make him happy.

“Lolo Celde Salvacion is the oldest and one of the first ever traditional photographer in Gen. Santos City. Lolo is 83 years old and has been inlove with photography since he was 12 years old. Until now, he still does photography, he rides his bike going to Gensan Park everyday (almost 6km from his home), and he shared that on his good days he earns 210-420 pesos pero may mga araw daw talaga na 0 kasi walang nagpapapicture.”

Rafaella narrated that her group surprised Lolo Celde at the park and took him and a number of his friends for a date. Their first stop was at Hungry Icow? (they sponsored lolo and his friends).

Nagkwentuhan kami, and yung mga friends ni lolo nag kwento about kay lolo, saying na di pa raw sila pinapanganak, photographer na si Lolo, tas mga experiences nila with lolo,” Rafaella added; after which they took Lolo’s friends back at the park. But the surprise for Lolo Celde was just beginning!

(See photo captions for complete story time ng bawat ganap ng pag date and spoil kay Lolo Celde).”

Thank you siya nang thank you tas naiiyak pa siya,” she added in her post.

Lolo Celde probably felt it was just too much; to be blessed like that so unexpectedly and with so much.

Yes, Lolo Celde received so many groceries, appliances, and was even gifted with his very first cellphone, plus dinner for his family and some cash money for his savings.

Paulit-ulit naming sinabi na maraming nag-donate para lana mapasaya and matulungan siya,”  Rafaella also said her post.

Lolo shared via a video his gratitude to everyone who contributed in making all the surprises possible. And it looks like more are coming?
