The pandemic affected so many people around the world. However, some chose to make the most of the lockdowns by exploring possibilities that could be beneficial to their family, instead of sulking and pouring their precious time on things that do not really matter or matter so little.
Well, a teenager named Love Marie was flexed by her own mother on social media out of sheer pride and joy.
On the community page “Home Buddies”, Mommy Rosanne Pugal shared that her daughter who’s only a minor already owns a house and has been their breadwinner since the lockdowns brought about by the pandemic.
She posted: ‘Menor de edad na may sariling bahay na’t naging breadwinner pa simula nang magka-lockdown?’
According to Mommy Rosanne, her 15-year-old daughter who’s an incoming Grade 10 student, already has her own house and has been covering all their expenses since the lockdowns started in 2020.
The proud Mom further shared their home has a lot area of 36 square meters, has two storeys and a roof deck. They have four bedrooms and two toilets and bath.
They still find it so unbelievable that their daughter has come to this level of accomplishment at her young age.
“My daughter kasi ay napaka-madiskarte at talented, nagulat na lang kami nang pinaglalakad niya kami ng bankbook kailangan niya kasi dahil na-monetize na raw ang YT channel niya, na nagsimulang gumawa ng content noong August of 2020,” Rosanne narrated her daughter’s efforts to find a way to earn for their family.
Because of their daughter’s sheer courage and determination to try vlogging and animation, they were able to tide over the challenges caused by the pandemic. It was Love Marie, she said, who made it possible for them to survive especially after her husband lost his job.
She expressed being so thankful to the Lord for such grace.
“Masasabi kong sinuwerte at biniyayaan kami ng Panginoon, sa simpleng pinagkakaabalahan pala ng anak namin eh makakapagpatayo kami ng sarili naming bahay. Kami ng asawa ko ay may maliit na tindahan ng street foods, nag-iipon kami ng pampagawa ng gate dahil naloko kami ng nakuha naming welder dahil substandard tinipid ang materyales na ginamit,” she added.
Despite her daughter’s busy timeline regarding vlogging, she reveals how organized Love Marie is; such that she knows her priorities. Her studies takes top spot on her schedule as she aims to pursue her education. In fact, her daughter remains to be among those who finished the schoolyear with honors. Wow! Amazing teen indeed!
“Sa ngayon nag-focus na lang siya sa pag-aaral, dahil ayaw niya na mawala siya sa Top ng klase. At ngayon pasok pa rin siya sa with honors,” she shared with pride.
Aside from having her own house, her daughter who was only 14 when she started vlogging, was also the one who bought their furniture. She has also started her own online shop.
“This is not to brag, sobrang proud lang po sa na achieve ng anak namin na sa edad na 14 lang kasi siya noong nagsimula ang construction noong January at ngayon at the age of 15, grade 9 student may sarili ng bahay,” she continued on her FB post.
Appaently, what pushed Love Marie to seek a way to earn for their house was the flooding issues in their area; hence, the second storey and roof deck. Safety first. Mommy Rosanne said they saved all her daughter’s earnings on YouTube for the house goal because Love Marie wanted it to materialize above all else.
She also revealed that when their girl was around Grade 3-4, Love Marie already had her mind on making money. She sold lollipops at school, saves cardboard boxes to sell at junk shops. “Madiskarte” as many would call her.
It’s no wonder that this 15-year-old’s story trended on social media. She truly inspires! And if you believe she is worth supporting, just visit her YT Channel every once in a while.
