Senator Imee Marcos shared that she’s with her father, former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., on her brother, Ferdinand Marcos Jr’s inauguration day.
As a way to honor and give tribute to her father, Imee wore a blue-colored gown adorned with gifts from the late President.
In an Instagram post, it was revealed that Imee herself designed the asymmetrical Filipiniana-inspired gown and it was designer Rem Divino who materialized that stunning long gown. Adding to the gown’s intricate design was an assortment of restored chains, lockets, and pendants embellished on the sleeve. However, these were no ordinary accessories, as they were gifts to Imee from her father.
The post stated, “Designed by Senator Imee R. Marcos herself, this sustainable opulent Filipiniana gown made by Rem Divino has restored lockets, chains, and pendants as embellishments, these were all gifts from her father – former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.”
In another post, Imee shared how she wanted to “bring” her father on her brother’s inauguration day.

She wrote, “I brought my father in the inauguration, after all siya naman and dahilan ng lahat ng ito. He escorted me, he is in my arms.”
Darryl Yap, the director behind the upcoming Marcos film, “Maid in Malacañang,” revealed that the senator’s look on the inauguration day was both “poetic and sentimental.”
He wrote on Facebook, “A Muse with a Museum in her sleeves. Standing out while sitting in the National Museum. Poetic and Sentimental.”
Direk Darryl described how Imee wore memorabilia from her father as she sat at the National Museum for her brother’s inauguration. Even more sentimental was that the venue was the former president’s office during his term.
The director went on to share a phone conversation he had with his “Manang Imee” and how it made him emotional. As per Direk Darryl, Imee said she was with her father that day.
Direk Darryl posted, “Phone Call. Darryl: Nandyan ka na Mam? Sino’ng kasama mo?
Senator Imee: I’m bringing my Dad, He’s with me. He’s in my arms.
NAGPAPAIYAK SA TANGHALI! We love you sen! I’m sure happy siya.”
