France Offers 2 Government Scholarship Programs For Filipinos

The French government is offering two scholarship programs for Filipino professionals with strong academic and leadership abilities for the coming school year 2022-2023.

If you are a Filipino working in the academic, research or government institutions, you may apply in the first program –  the PhilFrance-DOST Scholarship.

The PhilFrance-DOST Scholarship is jointly administered by the French Embassy and the Science Education Institute-DOST.

In a statement, the French Embassy said the program “aims to encourage Filipino professionals working in academic, research, or government institutions to pursue a Master’s or Doctorate degree at French public universities.”

Another objective is to  strengthen scientific cooperation and exchanges between France and the Philippines, it added.

Professionals whose fields of study are Agriculture, Bioengineering, Bioinformatics (Medical), Biological Sciences, Climate Change, Forestry, Health and Medical Research, Material Sciences, Medical Chemistry, Natural Resources and Environment, Nuclear Application on Health, Nuclear Medicine, Veterinary Sciences, Virology will be prioritized.

The second program being offered is the ‘PhilFrance Scholarship’ for those who wanted to pursue a Master’s Degree in France for this school year.

“This scholarship program is for Master’s degrees (18 or 24 months) in all academic disciplines, taught at French higher education institutions (public or private),” the embassy said.

Interested applicants may visit their website HERE for complete information regarding Eligibility criteria, Eligible programs (including the list of priority fields of study), Application material, Calendar and evaluation guidelines, Scholarship benefits. Service obligations, and other conditions.

Only complete applications that are submitted through their website will be accepted and the online application form must be accessed using a desktop browser only.

The French embassy has now started accepting applications until April 4, 2021.
