On the official Facebook page of Miss Universe Philippines Organization, the Top 5 finalist spoke about her experience in the pageant. According to Bea, she became close with crowned Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu of India because they were group mates. She even invited Harnaaz to visit the Philippines.

“Magkakasama kami sa a group sa Miss Universe – ako, Miss India, Miss Singapore and Miss Nepal. We really help one another like kung may difficulty sa mga outfit namin, nagtutulungan talaga kami,”

Bea added, “I invited her to visit the Philippines soon. And she invited us to visit India, too! I told her I am proud of our group.”

Marian Rivera cheers for her

Bea also couldn’t help but share how Miss Universe judge Marian Rivera has kept her smiling during the pageant.

“Kapag nakikita ko yung cheer ni Marian, talagang natutuwa ako at nawawala ako. Kahit talagang bawal sa mga judge ang mag cheer for their country delegates, nagcheer pa rin talaga siya for me. Sinabi niya hindi raw nawawala yung smile ko during the preliminaries. That’s the real reason,” she said.

Bea felt nervous during the Q & A

The Cebuana beauty queen also admitted that she felt nervous during the Q & A. It can be recalled that Bea was asked about the mandatory vaccination passport. She answered that she agrees with it because public health is everyone’s responsibility.

“I was quite surprised because I noticed most of the questions were about women empowerment and children’s rights. Hindi ko po inexpect na ang question na mapupunta sa akin might possibly be political. So nagda-dalawang isip ako on how to answer the question. Inisip ko lang kung ano yung core values ko.”

“I believe I did well it’s just that I got really nervous kaya yung delivery ko hindi gaanong magaling. Ninerbyos talaga ako sa Q&A pero nasabi ko naman yung gusto kong sabihin,” she said.

After her Top 5 finish, Bea said she is very proud of her performance. She is also thrilled to come home and spend Christmas with her family.
