Rabiya Mateo tells bashers to STOP calling her UGLY

Amidst the victory of Rabiya Mateo, she received a lot of bashers upon her win. One netizen uploaded a photo of her 11 years ago that made rounds in social media. The photo that was circulated was her photo in her yearbook in which her achievements as student were listed that includes being the first honorable mention, best in communication and performer of the year.

When the photo circulated online a lot of critic notice a huge change in the beauty queen’s appearance. The beauty queen couldn’t remain silent in the issue and posted it in her instagram story her stand on the big change.

“This is me 11 years ago. I still didn’t have my braces. I don’t how to put make-up. I’m not aware of what angle flatters me most but that is still me. “, she said.

She shared how time has made her change and grow.

“A lot of things happened in that period of time. I grew up and became more mature. I was able to invest in myself and practice self-love. If there would be one thing that I want other people to know about me is that I’m beautiful then and now. The only thing difference is now I know better.”

She also pointed out to stop calling anyone ugly.

“If that’s how you see things and maybe then, it’s your soul that needs surgery.”, she added.
